Struggling to make ends meet? Single Stop can help!
Single Stop connects students to local community and government resources for help with food, healthcare, housing, transportation, utility bill payments, or other needs. Completing a short online screening tool shows if you qualify for public benefits, and Single Stop staff can provide referrals to local organizations for additional assistance.
Due to the pandemic, the requirements to qualify for assistance have been relaxed in order to help more people. For example, more college students are now eligible to get help through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This program provides monthly benefits to eligible families and individuals to help them buy food using an EBT card which works just like a credit or debit card. These funds can be used to buy groceries at stores, farmers markets, and even on Amazon!
Click here to access the Single Stop benefits screener, then click the green ‘Let’s Get Started!’ button. It only takes a few minutes, and it will automatically calculate your eligibility based on the information you enter. If you have questions or need assistance, contact us at [email protected] or call 540-351-1512.
