Canvas

Canvas Vertical LogoLord Fairfax Community College believe that all students deserve a collaborative, supportive, and relevant learning environment that supports the unique needs of each student. Our move to Canvas gives us an opportunity to reimagine learning and teaching to empower faculty and engage students to ensure their success.

Canvas will be adopted by all 23 Virginia Community Colleges starting in the Summer 2019 semester and will replace Blackboard at that time.

Canvas is a well-established learning management system that has been successfully adopted by thousands of institutions all over the world. We’re confident in its ability to serve our students and faculty well moving forward.

All VCCS colleges are now part of a Canvas pilot for the Spring 2019 semester and LFCC has over 70 courses being taught on Canvas for the Spring.
