Admission vs. Registration

Admission requirements are different from course registration requirements. All students must have qualifying test scores to be admitted to the college. Students must then also meet course pre-requisites in order to enroll into specific classes.

ADMISSION TO THE COLLEGE:

  1. Watch the Dual Enrollment Video
  2. Apply the College
  3. Prepare for AND take placement tests OR provide paperwork for placement test waivers
    1. Students must meet the VCCS admissions policy for English and Math placement to be admitted to the college.
    2. SAT, ACT, PSAT or SOL test scores may be used for admission to the college.   
    3. If a student does not have the qualifying SAT, ACT, PSAT or SOL test scores, they will need to take the Virginia Placement Tests in English and/or Math.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:

  1. Watch the Dual Enrollment Video
  2. Visit http://www.lfcc.edu/current-students/services-for-students/international-students/index.htmlfor information and requirements
  3. Prepare for AND take placement tests OR provide paperwork for placement test waivers as outlined above.

COURSE REGISTRATION:

  1. Course pre-requisites must be met in order to enroll in certain classes.  This will require SAT’s, ACT’s or Virginia Placement Tests.
  2. Prepare all documentation needed in order to complete registration.  Click the link below that applies to where a student will be taking their Dual Enrollment class:
    1. DE classes taken at High School 
    2. DE classes taken on Campus or Online
    3. DE registration for Home School Students
