The Volgenau School of Engineering at George Mason University introduces hands-on intensive Cybersecurity Pre-college program for middle and high school students. The program prepares students to apply technical skills in cybersecurity careers. Students will learn career options in the field and hear from a variety of speakers about how to enter in this exciting profession. Check out our website for details – stem.volgenau.gmu.edu/programs

Additional transfer agreements are now offered from the LFCC degree to Old Dominion University’s Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Cybersecurity and to George Washington University’s Bachelor of Professional Studies in Cybersecurity.

In an effort to provide students an opportunity to connect with and build a relationship with professionals working in the field LFCC has formally signed a partnership agreement with Shentel and is working on pathways for internships with Navy Federal Credit Union and, hopefully, with the Federal Bureau of Investigations organization based in Winchester VA.  The target date for this work is 2020/2021.Click here to read about the Shentel partnership or click here to watch the partnership video.
