Middletown Daily Mail Delivery
The mailroom at the Middletown Campus is currently located in Room 112 in Fairfax Hall.
Only faculty and staff are permitted in the mailroom. Mail is delivered from the Post Office once a day to LFCC. The normal delivery time is between 10 a.m. and noon. The mail is distributed by Printing Services staff into individual mail slots or by department depending on the established process. In general, the daily mail is distributed prior to noon each day.
Middletown Daily Mail Posting
Outgoing letters and envelopes requiring processing through the mail postage machine and delivery to the Post Office should be dropped off no later than 1:30 p.m. in the mail room or designated drop area. The daily delivery to the Post Office for outgoing mail is generally around 2 p.m. each day.

All special mailing requirements should be coordinated with the Printing Services staff in order to ensure the proper and timely handling of the mail.
United Parcel Service (UPS)
UPS Package Receiving
UPS deliveries are made daily at each LFCC location. This service is coordinated in the Business Office by the procurement officer.
UPS Package Mailing
UPS provides daily late afternoon pick up at LFCC. Outgoing packages need to be in the mail room or designated location by 3 p.m. to ensure posting for that day. A UPS Shipping Ticket must be completed for each package being sent. Each package is assigned a tracking number. The tracking number is maintained by the inventory clerk to address any issues about delivery. UPS shipping supplies, such as envelopes, boxes, and forms can be obtained by contacting the inventory clerk.
Delivery of Packages from Various Vendors
All packages delivered to LFCC will be accepted by the inventory clerk. The packages will be delivered to the appropriate recipient in a timely manner, once any necessary inventory and/or purchasing documentation has been finalized. No packages should be removed from the mail room or maintenance building without the clerk’s approval.
Special Shipping Requirements
Any special shipping requirements due to size or expediency should be coordinated directly with Printing Services staff or the inventory clerk to ensure a proper and timely shipment.
Every Monday through Thursday when the College is open, mail is picked up at the mail room in the main building of the Middletown Campus. All mail destined for the appropriate College location must be placed in the mail tub for that location. Large packages must be placed in the designated area in the mail room for delivery to respective location. On occasion there may be packages that are too large or heavy to move to the mail room. The Buildings and Grounds Supervisor must be notified of these packages and will notify the courier to schedule pickup and delivery.
The courier will pick up mail between 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. each morning for delivery to the Fauquier Campus. Mail arrives at the Fauquier Campus around 11:30 a.m. each morning. Mail delivery from the Fauquier Campus to the Middletown Campus will leave the Fauquier Campus at approximately 1:30 p.m. each day. Mail being sent from the Fauquier Campus to the Middletown Campus will be distributed the following morning.
Mail to and from the Luray-Page County Center will be sent via UPS for next day delivery. When packages must arrive the next day you must notify the Printing Services staff in Middletown. UPS normally delivers mail at 10:30 a.m. each day. The Luray-Page County Center is closed on Fridays.
