LFCC Forensics Team Competes at the Collegiate Forensics Association Tournament in PA

The Lord Fairfax Community College Forensics (Speech/Drama/Debate) Team performed well at the Collegiate Forensics Association Tournament in Shippensburg, PA on November 13-14, 2015. LFCC placed 4th overall in the team sweepstakes. Other teams competing were Bloomsburg University, Florida College, Randolph Macon College, University of Richmond, Liberty University, David and Elkins College, and West Virginia University at Parkersburg.  

Individual award winners were announced.  The following LFCC students were recognized:

Sunniva Moore (Linden, VA)

2nd place in Informative Speaking

3rd place in Prose

3rd place in Declamation

3rd place in Single Dramatic Interpretation

4th place in Duo

6th place in Poetry

 

Rebekah Mickahail (Bluemont, VA)

3rd place in Parliamentary Debate

4th place in Duo

4th place in Impromptu

 

Abby Stocker (Round Hill, VA)

3rd place in Parliamentary Debate

3rd place in After Dinner Speaking

6th place in Persuasion

 

Cody Jones (Maurertown, VA)

4th in Persuasion

 

John Holsinger (Stephens City, VA)

5th place in Prose

Also competing were team members Rachel Clowes (Front Royal) and Michael Weimer (Winchester, VA).
