LFCC Has Its Own Mobile App

Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) has launched a mobile application.  To get this mobile app (which is free) go to either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store:

The app includes a suite of modules that allows students and staff to access information to many important LFCC portals. The app’s modules include the following:

  • Courses: Browse the entire course catalog

 

  • News: Read the latest news and find out what is happening on our campuses

 

  • Library: Search the library catalog, view the availability of many different items, access live chat and engage other research tools

 

  • SIS: Access the Student Information System (SIS)

 

  • Twitter: View LFCC’s latest tweets

 

  • Facebook: Connect with LFCC on Facebook

 

  • Videos: Browse LFCC’s YouTube stream

 

  • Emergency:  Access important emergency contacts

 

  • Maps: Find anything on campus using a search-driven map interface

 

  • Blackboard: Collaborate with professors and other students in assigned classes

 

  • Events: Enjoy a calendar-driven view of various events on campus

 

According to Aaron Riddle, LFCC’s Graphic Design and Digital Media Specialist, “The LFCC mobile app was designed to give students quick access to all the necessary resources at LFCC when they are on the go. If a student needs to see if a book is available in the library, or find out what is going on at the campus that day—this app puts all those resources right in their pocket.”
