Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) has achieved national ranking in the top 50 fastest-growing public two-year colleges by Community College Week.  LFCC ranked 32nd in the nation with a 3.8% change in enrollment, according to the information published on November 26, 2012.  The ranking follows the May 2012 acknowledgement that LFCC was the fastest growing community college in Virginia.  The data focused on Fall 2010 enrollment and Fall 2011 enrollment, with LFCC showing an increase of 265 students to a total of 7,270.

“It is a great achievement for the College to make this national ranking,” stated Dr. Cheryl Thompson-Stacy, LFCC President.  “These enrollment increases are a reminder of how important LFCC is to the community.”

Other VCCS institutions in the ranking include Germanna Community College at 45th  and Piedmont Virginia Community College at 47th.  The listing can be found at:    http://www.ccweek.com/News/templates/pdfs/Fastest-Growing/Fastest-Growing2012/Fastest-Growing12-5000-9999.pdf.
