Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) will be showing the artwork of printmaker Joe Cunningham throughout the next three months. The artist’s work is on display in the Sekel Art Atrium of the LFCC Middletown Campus until October 12th . It will then move to the College’s Fauquier Campus until the exhibit closes on November 23rd.
Cunningham, a resident of Winchester, VA, came to printmaking from photography. His work combines paper making and printmaking, using hand-made materials and found objects to create multimedia pieces. The paper he uses is made from recycled materials, cotton, flax, manila hemp, and tree fibers.
The display is open to the public during LFCC operating hours. For more information, contact the College at (540) 868-7000.
