The Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) Foundation will hold its annual Shrimp Feast fundraiser on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 6pm at the Middletown Campus. This year’s event will have a beach theme, and guests will enjoy a buffet dinner including all-you-can-eat steamed shrimp and a tiki bar in the courtyard with beer and wine.
The highlight of the evening will be a hilarious womanless beauty pageant, featuring seven local business and civic leaders. They will compete for donations, and the winner will be crowned “Miss-ter Shrimp Feast 2012.” The pageant will be hosted by Mrs. Virginia International 2012, Jennifer Williams of Stephens City. The contestants are:
- · Lenny Millholland (Winchester Sheriff)
- · Mike Guevremont (CEO, Executive Protection Systems)
- · Chris Pearmund (Pearmund Cellars & Vint Hill Craft Winery)
- · Joe Martin (President/CEO, Fauquier County Chamber of Commerce)
- · Arnold Williams (owner, Culligan of Front Royal)
- · Richard Follett (local recording artist and Skyline H.S. English teacher)
- · Aaron Painter (LFCC Student Activities Director & LFCC Rugby Coach).
Tickets are $50 per person ($30 of which is a tax deductible contribution to the LFCC Educational Foundation). All proceeds benefit the LFCC Foundation. “When businesses and individuals support the LFCC Foundation,” explains LFCC Foundation Director Liv Heggoy, “they are helping LFCC keep the dream of a college education within reach for residents in our community.”
LFCC is the fastest growing community college in Virginia, and the LFCC Foundation provides financial support for a variety of needs at the college, including scholarships, academic programs, and facility upgrades.
