Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) Associate Professor Rob Simpson and Assistant Professor Ann Simpson have recently published a book, Nature Guide to Rocky Mountain National Park, with Falcon Press. The Simpsons are a husband and wife team who instruct courses at LFCC in Biology and Photography. Each year they offer a photography trip to the LFCC community, the most recent in March 2012 to Costa Rica.
Working closely with national park personnel and national park associations across the nation, the Simpsons are creating full color nature guides and wildflower guides to aid in the education and enjoyment of visitors to the parks. Their current projects include guides to many of the major national parks including Shenandoah, Blue Ridge Parkway, Rocky Mountain, Yellowstone and Yosemite. Their Wildflowers of Shenandoah book published in May 2011 is now available as an app for iPhone and iPad, and has been touted as the most beautiful wildflower app on the market. For more information, contact Rob Simpson at firstname.lastname@example.org or Ann Simpson at email@example.com .
