Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) Educational Foundation, Inc. will recognize Henry Julius on Tuesday, December 6th as this year’s recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award. The event will take place at 1 p.m. in the Thompson Conference Center of the Corron Community Development Center on the Middletown Campus.
Julius was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and upon completion of his service began his studies at LFCC. He was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service for 39 years, well known and liked by customers at the Winchester, VA Main Post Office. Since his retirement, Julius divides his time between community service and a part-time job with Costco.
According to LFCC Professor Andrea Ludwick, “Henry Julius is a true community servant, a believer in the value of education and the community college, and one of the nicest people I have ever met.”
The public is invited to the event. For more information, contact Sue Corno at (540) 868-4089 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
