Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) is offering two new courses at the Fauquier Campus for future and current healthcare professionals in the Spring 2012 semester: Spanish 163- Spanish for Health Professionals, and CST 193- Healthcare Relational Communication. Both courses were created to meet changing needs for nurses and other healthcare professionals in the area. Spanish for Health Professionals emphasizes oral communication and practical medical vocabulary in this beginning course in Spanish. Healthcare Relational Communication highlights the overall communication competency in health care situations and stresses both verbal and nonverbal skills.
In addition to offering associate degrees and certificate programs, LFCC also serves the business community by offering workforce preparation programs for employees and employers. Applicants do not need to enroll in degree programs to take these new courses. Register now while there is still room in these new classes!
