Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) will hold a new student welcome event at both its Middletown and Warrenton campuses on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. New Student Welcome Day will provide students new to LFCC with information to enhance their college experience at LFCC and beyond.
New Student Welcome Day will include campus tours, academic program information sessions, and opportunities to purchase parking passes, obtain student identification cards, and visit the bookstore. Additionally, additional information sessions will be held on topics such as transferring to 4-year institutions, student activities and athletics, campus safety, online learning, counseling and tutoring services, and financial aid.
Participants can register for the event by accessing the College’s webpage, www.lfcc.edu . Students registering in advance of the event will be eligible for a variety of door prizes, including a Kindle e-reader, scholarships, bookstore gift cards, gas cards, and LFCC t-shirts and sweatshirts. Food and beverages will be available throughout the event.
