Middletown, VA – Lord Fairfax Community College has unveiled a new logo.  The new design is the result of an extensive process that included votes by college staff, faculty, board members, foundation board members, and students.  The winning design will appear on all LFCC print publications, letterhead, and nametags.  The logo includes the college’s initials combined with a ripple moving outward representative of the College as a “ripple” in the community, able to foster change by educating, teaching and graduating its students.

“This new logo is a visual representation of the College’s impact on its students and community,” stated Dr. Cheryl Thompson Stacy, College President.  “It was designed by Aaron Riddle, the College’s Graphic Designer, and chosen by the College community.  It is a great way to move forward from our 40th anniversary celebrations of 2010.”

LFCC will begin to use the new logo throughout the campus immediately.  For more examples of the new logo, go to the following website:  http://www.lfcc.edu/about-the-college/news/media-kit/college-media-kit/lfcc-logo-and-visual-identity-standards/index.html
