LFCC Scientific Society to Focus on Global Energy Challenges

MIDDLETOWN, Va. – The Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) Scientific Society is presenting a lecture by William Warren, associate professor of science at LFCC. The lecture, “The Global Energy Challenge,” will be held on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. in Room 145 in the Science and Health Professions Building, located on the Middletown Campus, 173 Skirmisher Lane in Middletown. The lecture is free and open to the public.

In his lecture, Warren will discuss the worldwide problems associated with the use of energy resources, including fossil fuel depletion, environmental effects and economic consequences. Some alternative approaches for dealing with these problems in the future will be discussed.
