LFCC to Host Competition Between Local Bands

WARRENTON, Va. – Lord Fairfax Community College’s Student Activities Office is planning a competition among a number of local bands. The Battle of the Bands is open to the public.

Who: Local high school and college bands in the area will share their talent with fans and community residents during the Battle of the Bands competition. As of April 4, 2008, the following bands have registered to participate in the event:

  • Citizen
  • Conundrum
  • Monkey Fist
  • One Way Ticket
  • Solace Sovay
  • The Serene Awakening
  • Trojan Horse

What: The Battle of the Bands competition will feature area bands performing in front of a panel of four judges. An admission fee of $2 per person will be charged, with proceeds benefitting the Lord Fairfax Community College Educational Foundation Inc.

When: Friday, April 25, 2008, at 6 p.m.

Where: The Barn, Fauquier Campus, located at 6480 College St. in Warrenton
