LFCC Fairfax Follies Variety Show Set for March 31 and April 1

MIDDLETOWN, Va. – Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) will be presenting the 28th annual Fairfax Follies variety show on Saturday, March 31, 2007, at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 1, 2007, at 6 p.m. The event will be held in the William H. McCoy Special Events Center located inside the Alson H. Smith Jr. Technology Center on the Middletown Campus, located at 173 Skirmisher Lane in Middletown.

The event is free and open to the public. The theme for this year’s Fairfax Follies is “The Follies Go to the Movies.” The family-oriented variety show will feature songs, dances and comedic skits from such movies as “Beauty and the Beast,” “Gone with the Wind,” “Grease,” “Harry Potter,” “Pretty Woman,” “Star Wars” and “The Wizard of Oz.” Emcees for the show are Barry Lee of WINC radio and LFCC President John J. “Ski” Sygielski.

Before each show, LFCC will be providing free ice cream, face painting, cake and candy walks and live entertainment. There will also be hot dogs, drinks, popcorn and Follies t-shirts for sale.
