MIDDLETOWN and WARRENTON, Va. – The Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) Educational Foundation Inc. recently appointed Kenneth L. Alger II as a new board member for a three-year term.

Alger, a Stanley resident, works as the assistant Commonwealth's attorney for Shenandoah County. In this position, he prosecutes a wide range of felony and misdemeanor cases each year.

“LFCC is very important to our community,” Alger said. “I have always placed education as one of the most important things a person can have. LFCC helps ensure that an education is available to anyone and not just the privileged elite. My role on the Foundation Board will specifically be to further this goal of offering an affordable education to a wide range of citizens in the area.”

Alger holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and psychology from the University of Virginia and a juris doctorate from the University of Georgia.
