n the College Web site has been upgraded to the latest version of Gallery2 (v 2.3.1). This update includes some bug fixes, some performance and efficiency enhancements and a few new features on the backend. The update to the Gallery software will most likely not effect the way photo albums and galleries are viewed on the College Web site. Please contact us if you notice any problems viewing photo albums or galleries on the Web site.

News Release Excerpts
The home page has been updated again. This time, we have updated the way the latest news releases are displayed in the bottom-right area of the home page. In addition to the news release headline, a short excerpt from the news release is now displayed with the headline.
In addition, we now have the ability to publish these excerpts from our news releases directly to the official College Twitter account, so you can keep up with College news from within your Twitter feed.

Improved Style Sheets
The style sheets used to control the appearance of the Web site have been improved and enhanced. In addition to some stylistic changes within the style sheets themselves, the content management system (CMS) has been updated to allow these style sheets to be cached, which will help improve the speed and performance of the Web site.
Improved Search Engine
The search form on the Web site has been improved to provide more accurate results. For easy access, the Web site search form has always been located at the top-right of every Web page.
Improved Performance for the Site Map and Site Index
We have changed the way the site map and site index are generated on the Web site. Now, instead of attempting to build the site map and site index dynamically every time someone visits either of those pages, the site map and index are built each time a page is added to the Web site or edited. The site map and site index will load much, much faster (which also includes any “not found” pages, since the site map is loaded on all of them).
A Brand New Web Site
The new LFCC Web site is now public. The old Web site has been archived, removed and replaced with the new site. In addition to a new look, the navigation of the Web site has been completely reorganized, has been moved to a new Web server for improved reliability and speed and has been infused with many new features.
